This poses a significant challenge because educators balance personal responsibilities, families, and priorities in limited resources and time, while shaping the futures of nation.

How does your presence make others feel? This Is the question you must ask to yourself if you also want to be a magnet in your personal and professional environment.

How can you exude that energy?

Here comes the use of magical soft skills like; smile, positive body language, confidence, Optimism, emotional intelligence, sense of humor, honesty, motivation, active listening, kindness, and gratitude, which creates a ripple effect. Cultivation of soft skills in your personality enhance your personal and professional effectiveness and make you magnetic.

Why do you need a mask?... To hide something! No…

‘Personality’ in Latin (‘persona’) means ‘mask’. Personality is the combination of biological (genetics) and psychological (cognition, emotion, motivation, social interaction) aspects. While genetics lay the foundation, our environment, upbringing, and personal choices shape who we become.

Imagine personality as a multifaceted mask we wear; a blend of our inherent traits, learned behaviors, and social adaptations. Just like physical masks protect us during a pandemic, our psychological masks shield us from judgment or rejection.

When people conform to certain patterns, whether it is dressing formally for an interview or mirroring successful behaviors, we try to copy those patterns. In doing so we are not hiding our true selves. Instead, we are strategically donning a mask of competence, aligning with societal norms. It is a survival strategy, an attempt to fit in and increase our chances of success and social approval.

So, beneath the tailored attire and rehearsed smiles lies an effort to balance between authenticity and adaptation. We wear our personality masks, not to hide but to preserve our sense of self. By doing so we navigate the complex stage of life; a stage where societal expectations and conformity often takes center stage.

Types of personality: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) categorizes individuals into 16 personality types based on four dichotomies:

Introversion (I) vs. Extraversion (E)

Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N)

Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F)

Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P)
