Impact of Social Media on Indian Lives: Earning and creativity platform for women, Students & Adults

Social media is permeating every aspect of
modern life, including health, family, work, home, friendships, spirituality,
recreation, personal growth, community, and finances. We must accept it, as an integral part of life. You may use AAR (Acceptance, Action, and Result) theory to assimilate the
social media in your life.
Like any other tool, social media also has both advantages and disadvantages. It is helpful in research and learning, boosting self-esteem, increase global connectivity, and rapid information distribution.
I have noticed how social media effectively fosters
connections among people, offers valuable information for personal development,
and empowers individuals by providing income-generating platforms. People are
leveraging social media to empower themselves across various aspects of life.
Women’s
empowerment, a global priority, is increasingly being achieved through social
media. Thousands of women leverage these platforms to showcase their creativity
in writing, fashion, entertainment, cooking, marketing, and travel. Nancy
Tyagi, a talented YouTuber and social media personality, hails from Baranwa,
Uttar Pradesh, who graced the red carpet at Cannes 2024, exemplifies the
innovative possibilities of social media. She gained fame through her creative
videos where she skillfully recreates celebrity outfits. As educators, it’s
essential to instill in young girls a positive self-image and a strong sense of
social and cultural preservation when navigating social media.
I
appreciate the apt use of technology in the field of education. Students now
have access to a wealth of information, and they can explore new or challenging
concepts more effectively. By learning from the comfort of their homes, they
save time and energy, eliminating their mother’s concerns about daily commutes
and their safety. This newfound time can be channeled into creating fresh and
updated content.
Youngsters
are using social media to learn and earn. The digital landscape has paved the
way for new avenues of income generation, and teenagers are increasingly
harnessing the power of social media platforms to embark on entrepreneurial
journeys. From crafting content to building personal brands, these young
individuals are not only earning but also gaining valuable skills and insights
that shape their future. The platform gives them
freedom of choice and open sky, which they always desired.
Senior citizens are actively using social media to stay engaged. Many are creating
online educational, religious, and spiritual content. In India they maintain connections not only with family but also with former
classmates, instructors, and colleagues. Technology enables them to acquire
new skills through platforms like YouTube and Facebook groups, where knowledge
is shared among like-minded individuals.
When using social media, it is essential to be responsible and considerate. Instead of resorting to personal attacks or harsh criticism, focus on the issue at hand and express your thoughts in a respectful and constructive manner. Everyone has the right to their opinion.
Yes, it is true social media is a friend of good times. Social media does not support you when you are down. So, you need to be emotionally intelligent and connected to people on ground level. Cyberbullying, unhealthy lifestyle, and quick spread of incorrect information are some of its other flaws.
